Lomond View Elementary is located in the heart of Pleasant View, Utah, on the benches of the majestic Ben Lomond Peak. The school thrives on the collaborative efforts of approximately 430 students, many supportive parents and guardians, 26 teachers, and 26 support staff. This collective dedication is reflected in our consistent performance in the top 10% of Weber School District on Acadience, Rise, and other benchmark assessments.
We provide a range of services, including regular and resource education courses, counseling, and speech therapy. Occupational and physical therapy, as well as mental health services, are available on an as-needed basis. Students enjoy breakfast and lunch daily in a safe and supportive environment where we work together to succeed and grow. The Lomond View Lions are proud members of the Weber School District.
Students have access to a variety of extracurricular opportunities, such as Choir, Bell Choir, Science Club, Math/Krypto Club, Math & Science Olympiad, Iron Kid Competition, Running Club, Vex Robotics, and Hope Squad. As a Leader in Me school, we focus on learning the Habits of Highly Effective People (Covey), and students can take on leadership roles both within the classroom and school-wide.
The school was originally built in 1959. In 1967, six additional classrooms and an enclosed ramp connecting the upper and lower concourses were added. Further modifications in 1985 included the addition of a large gymnasium, storage areas, four new classrooms, a media center, and an expanded kitchen. Most common areas and northern classrooms received fresh paint and updated flooring in the spring of 2011.
