SheTech is an industry-led STEM program for underrepresented high school girls designed to create access, enable opportunity and ignite their pursuit of education and careers in tech and STEM. The program works in partnership with industry to introduce the girls to role models, mentors and industry-led hands-on STEM experiences.
SheTech Explorer Day 2023 had more than 3,000 registered students from all over Utah gathering at the Mountain American Expo Center on February 28th, 2023 for a day full of hands-on STEM exploration. Weber School District had girls from all of our high schools in attendance, and we enjoyed participating in the wide variety of activities they had provided.
Did you know that 95% of high school girls report that they don’t know a woman in tech and have never met a female role model? SheTech changes that with thousands of role models, tech companies and mentors that help girls see who they can become.
Save the date for SheTech Explorer Day on March 14, 2024, if you don’t want to miss out on this exciting event next year! (Contact your school's Computer Science teacher for more information about transportation and registration)
