USBE CTE Scholarship

This scholarship is sponsored by the participating higher education institutes.

CTE Scholarship Information

WSU Edge Scholarship

A student receiving a Concurrent Enrollment Edge scholarship will receive a $2,000 tuition waiver per year for four years (up to $1,000 per semester for eight semesters) representing a total value of $8,000.

This scholarship can be applied for after completing a total of 12 credit hours in concurrent courses.  

A cumulative grade point average or 3.0 is required on all concurrent enrollment credit.

 

All concurrent work must be verified by the WSU financial Aid and Scholarship office prior to any scholarship disbursement.  

You must be a Utah resident and a U.S.citizen to be eligible for this scholarship.

 

After enrolling as a full-time WSU student, you must take 12-18 credit hours per semester and maintain a 2.5 WSU cumulative GPA to retain this scholarship.

This scholarship cannot be combined with any other WSU academic scholarship.

WSD “Teach for Weber” Scholarship

The “Teach for Weber” scholarship has been established to help educate future teachers and continue to produce good and positive outcomes in the Weber School District.  

This scholarship award is for $5000, divided into two payments of $2500 for the first and second year attending Weber State University.

This scholarship is for students desirous to pursue an Education degree at Weber State University.

Students that take EDUC 1010 (TAP 3) are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

"Teach for Weber" Scholarship Application

T.H. Bell Education Scholarship

This scholarship is for those intent on entering the teaching profession in Utah.  It can be used at all public or private institutions in Utah that offer an approved program.  

This scholarship may be for up to the coast of resident tuition, fees, and books and may be received for up to four consecutive years.  

Recipients must study in an approved teacher preparation program, approved speech-language pathologist or another licensed professional providing services in a public school to a student with disabilities.  

Eligibility and priorities: 

  • First generation students who intend to work in any teaching field or licensure area.

  • Students who are not first generation, but intend to work in a teaching field or licensure are where there is a high need.

  • Other students who meet the requirements of the scholarship.
